Boothnation was created by award winning portrait photographer Seamus Ryan. Already well known internationally for his advertising and editorial work, Seamus embarked on a unique series of portraits involving the general public in 2006.
These projects, collectively known as Sunday Shoots, take place each Sunday in his studio (based in busy Columbia Road Flower Market, in London's East End) and attempt to reveal different aspects of personality, identity and spirit while at the same time exploring the possibilities of portrait photography. To see all of the Sunday Shoot projects go to www.sundayshoots.com.
The photobooth idea came from these public projects and has proved hugely popular in all its adaptations. There is something about the informal nature of the photobooth that delights everyone. The resulting images are testimony to this, unlike posed event photography your guests aren't pretending to have fun for the camera, the camera is the fun!
The Boothnation booth is no ordinary photobooth. It is fully kitted out with professional lighting, a high end digital camera and the ability to instantly view your images, as they are taken. The booth can also be completely customised to your event. Please see booth hire for more information.
